Questions about Christmas

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping Paper.. but I will use bags when I am in a hurry!.

2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial.. we have gone to this because of ease of use, no one likes to string the lights or haul the old tree away. I also always forget to water a real tree and then I worry about the giant dry fire hazard of a dead pine tree...

3. When do you put up the tree? After Kathryns birthday. I clean everything and then we have a special night with the family and trim the tree.

4. When do you take the tree down? First week of January.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmm... I always got great gifts as a child.... We had the tradition of wrapping everything well ahead of time and shaking and guessing what was in them. We also opened one gift Christmas eve and saved the rest for after Santa came! I had so many great gifts I couldn't pick one but I did love my Bewiched doll I recieved when I was in around 1st grade!

7. Do you have a Nativity scene? No. Never was into them but we do go and see the Live Nativity every year.

8. Hardest person to buy for? My Dad! He is so hard to get a suprise for because if he doesn't like it , he just blurts out how much he hates it.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My beautiful daughter

10. Worst Christmas Gift you ever received? A pair of frog slippers at a flackbacks Christmas party!

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, Every year since Kathryn was born , I have made my own Christmas cards. It is one of my traditions. I love to see how my style has grown over the years.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? We love " How the Grinch stole Christmas"

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I get serious after Thanksgiving and Kathryn's Birthday!.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Hmmm... maybe...;)

15. Favorite things to eat at Christmas? Treats! Endless treats! And Christmas dinner. We almost always have our turkey dinner Christmas Eve and then have a stollen and eggs in the am and eat leftovers and a Honey baked ham Christmas day.

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear, because our tree is pre-lit, but I do like the look of them best.

17. Favorite Christmas song or album? This year we bought " Josh Groban - Noel " I really love it!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We stay HOME most years but either is fine with me.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Yes!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Barbie Angel!

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? One on Christmas Eve and then the rest in a marathon on Christmas morning.Plus stockings

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Everything happens all at onceand it is sooooo crowded!

23. What is the “silliest” family tradition you do, or miss doing? Nothing or everything! We are silly all the time.

24. Ugliest Christmas Decoration ever invented? Anything too plastic!

25. Which looks best, theme trees or homey trees? I like both.

26. Gingerbread or sugar cookies? Sugar cookies!

Months of frustration!!!!

I have been in the midst of big issues with all that has come since October. I broke my arm back on 10/13/07 and nothing has been the same. I just got the cast off this week and will have a splint on for another month. I can't scrapbook! I can't clean or organize and I can't even dress myself! It sucks! I am getting closer but I am frustrated because Christmas is coming and I can't really get ready! My new year will be filled with all kinds of activity. I can't wait. One of my resolutions is to write and post pics. I really did well last year and got all my list of wishes done. I will need luck to do as well this year!

Another Day, Another Dollar

This weekend was National Scrapbook day! I almost always do something BIG. This year was different. I stayed home and did nothing except play. I watched QVC and shopped. I scrapbooked things I needed to get done and just enjoyed being. Kathryn ( my DD) went to her BJD meet-up and I just relaxed. What a great day. Life is always so fast it's really good to slow down and do something that makes you happy.

First time to blog!!! May 3rd 2007

I have never tried to blog before but one of the New Year resalutions I have is to become more computer savy. I so want to be able to share my work, thoughts and feelings with my scrap friends and everyone else. I am dedicated to having a more beautiful life this year and fulfilling all my goals . I have made 6 this year. Three of which I have already achieved and am still adding to and working on. I believe your work on personal "self" is never done. The first was to clean and organize my household and scrapbook stuff. I made a big leap at this and got quiet a bit done. I've had a few setbacks and am still working on this one. The second was to become more knowledgeable about tech. toys. I have learned how to program my DVR and make DVDs out of things I have taped. I also learned how to upload my pictures on the Internet and now have started this blog! Yay for me. The third thing is to always let the people we love know. This is inclusive of not only family but friends , people I work with, Service people even the check out people at the store. Anyone who is helpful to me or Kind. Let them Know!!
